Comment: Brilliant example of the late caricature of George Cruikshank, last of the great caricaturists beginning with Hogarth. He specialized in satirizing fashion and culture, rather than politics. In this plate 8 , young master Will Blockhead steers a small boat through a stormy sea, tow wards a spire of rock, up which numerous officers are scrambling to reach the Temple of Fame that rest upon the summit.
